Hello, I'm Jasmin Lopez. I was born and raised in Schuyler. I graduated from Schuyler Central Highschool in 2012. I attended Central Community College where I received my associates degree. I later attended University of Nebraska- Kearney where I received my bachelors degree in education. I now get the privilege to teach at the elementary school. I am married and have four children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending it with my family.
Mr. Brante Hayes
My name is Brante Hayes. I live in Columbus with my wife Nichole, and my three kids, Gavin, Shelby, and Khyler. I was born and raised in David City. I graduated from David City Public Schools in 2002. I received my BA from Wayne State College in 2007 and my MA from Chadron State College in 2018. I’ve been teaching at Schuyler Community Schools since 2013. I am the head Youth Girls’ Basketball Coach, head Middle School Girls’ Basketball Coach, and head Varsity Boys’ Golf Coach. My summers are filled with spending time with my family and friends. During the week, we play a lot of sand volleyball and our weekends are filled with 4 wheeling on the river. We also love to travel every chance we can. And of course, a big HUSKER fan!
Mrs. Raenelle Thoms
I have been a first grade teacher in Schuyler since 2000. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Hastings College. I also have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Chadron State College. I enjoy teaching young children and get excited when they start to learn new things! I am married and have three children. I enjoy going to my children's sporting events and crafting when I have extra time.
Ms. Rowe
Hello! My name is Emily Rowe and I will be joining the 1st grade team at Schuyler Elementary School! I was born and raised in Omaha. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and my graduate degree in teaching from College of St. Mary. My background includes working at a before and after school program, in a public library, and also as a certified occupational therapy assistant. I love to read, watch Husker volleyball, and travel. A fun fact about me is that I consider myself to be an unofficial Disney expert. I enjoy traveling to Disney parks and hotels around the world. I am so excited to get involved and be a part of the Schuyler community!

I am an elementary teacher at SES. Before living in Schuyler, I was born and raised in Lincoln, NE in a big family. I moved away from Lincoln to start my teaching career in a new environment. Before teaching, I attended Wayne State College and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. When I am not teaching, you may find me taking care of houseplants, doing craft projects or enjoying time with family. I enjoy the creative aspect in teaching. I love making projects and thinking outside of the box. I am thrilled to be a part of the Schuyler Community.
