Mrs. Nicole Taylor-Lierman

Hello, thanks for stopping by.  My name is Mrs. Nicole Taylor-Liermann.  I am blessed to say my life is completely surrounded with music and I love it.   I teach K-5 General Music, Recorder Choir, and 5th Grade Woodwinds.  I also run two after school program music clubs (Bucket Drumming and Color Guard).  I believe music is the one thing on earth that EVERYONE can enjoy and participate in.  It is a universal language that has no limitations.

I am a Schuyler Central High School graduate and am proud to be giving back to the community that helped make me who I am today.  It’s always a great day to be a Schuyler Warrior!  After High School I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney until my mother got sick and needed to relocate to a college closer to home.  I finished my degree of K-12 Instrumental and Vocal Music Education at Wayne State College in 2007 and have been teaching music to our future leaders of the world ever since.

I recently got married to my best friend of 11 years and am proud to say he bleeds Schuyler Green just as much as I do.  We live in Schuyler with our fur babies and can’t wait to see what the future brings us.  Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!  Go Warriors!

Musically Yours,
Mrs. Taylor-Liermann

I have taught in  First and Second Grades at  Schuyler Community Schools since 2006.  Prior to this I also taught in Osmond and Wayne in grades Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth.

Some of my favorite things to do are read, camp, boat, swim, sit around a campfire, and spend time with my family and friends.  My favorite things to eat are chocolate, pizza and to drink is caffeine free diet coke.  I like the color royal blue and red, teddy bears, and animals. Most of all I like teaching the students of Schuyler Community Schools.  I love talking to past students and to see how they have grown over the years.

Here’s wishing a good year to all of us.

Mr. Patrick Halvorsen

I teach physical education at Schuyler Elementary School.  I also coach middle school boy’s basketball and middle school track at Schuyler Middle School.  Prior to coming to Schuyler, I was a PE teacher and coach at Madison Public Schools in Madison, NE.  Schuyler Elementary is a wonderful place to teach and learn. I enjoy teaching in the Schuyler Community Schools district.  I strive to create a caring, safe and engaging learning environment, which encourages students to believe in themselves and to do their personal best.

I was born and raised in Plainview, NE and graduated from Plainview High School.  After high school, I attended and graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE and received a  Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education K-12 along with a minor in coaching.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three boys and attending all their sporting events.  I also enjoy golfing and fishing and all things Husker sports!  In addition to the Huskers, I am a Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Cubs fan!

Ms. Stephanie Pearson

My name is Stephanie Pearson, and I teach music at the elementary school. After graduating from Concordia High School in my hometown of Omaha, I graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska with a K-12 Instrumental and Vocal Music Education degree and a Spanish minor in 2020. I have a passion for all music, but especially for stringed instruments. I started playing the violin in 2nd grade and taught myself the cello in high school. I am excited to help grow the strings program here in Schuyler!

Shortly after graduating from college, I married my husband, Cole, and we moved to Schuyler. We met while pitching horseshoes: one of our shared passions and hobbies. When we’re not pitching horseshoes, we also play video games, play fetch with our two beagles, and watch tv shows. (So I can keep up with the students!) I also enjoy reading books and learning new songs and instruments.
