This week in Miss. Alarcon’s class, we learned how to use a Venn diagram to sort our names and practice our letters! We had so much fun finding similarities and differences while building our literacy skills. ✏️📚 We ended the week with an exciting trip to the movie theater 🎬✨ Last week, we also enjoyed the beautiful weather by eating our snack outside and reading our story together in the sunshine. So many special learning moments and sweet memories! ☀️💛 Esta semana en la clase de la Miss. Alarcón aprendimos a usar un diagrama de Venn para clasificar nuestros nombres y practicar nuestras letras. ¡Nos divertimos mucho encontrando similitudes y diferencias mientras fortalecíamos nuestras habilidades de lectoescritura! ✏️📚 Terminamos la semana con una emocionante visita al cine 🎬✨ La semana pasada también disfrutamos del hermoso clima comiendo nuestra merienda afuera y leyendo nuestro cuento juntos bajo el sol. ¡Tantos momentos especiales de aprendizaje y lindos recuerdos! ☀️💛

In Mrs. Lopez’s class, we had such a fun and busy week! We learned all about opposites, exploring big and small with hands-on activities and classroom examples. The children were also introduced to a Venn diagram, where we sorted our names and discovered which letters we share with our friends—what a fun way to see how we are the same and different! We enjoyed the beautiful weather outside, laughing and playing together, and made special memories during our trip to the movie theatre. 🎬☀️ En la clase de la Sra. López tuvimos una semana muy divertida y llena de aprendizaje! Aprendimos sobre los opuestos, explorando lo grande y lo pequeño con actividades prácticas y ejemplos en el salón. También conocimos el diagrama de Venn, donde clasificamos nuestros nombres y descubrimos qué letras tenemos en común con nuestros amigos—fue una manera muy divertida de ver en qué somos iguales y diferentes! Disfrutamos del hermoso clima jugando y riendo juntos afuera, y también vivimos momentos muy especiales en nuestra visita al cine. 🎬☀️

Funtastic Week in Mrs. U's Class! Our preschoolers had a fun movie experience, a memorable outing for our little learners! 🎬. They also enjoyed our “Under the Sea” art theme, creating colorful sea creatures, coral reefs, and ocean wonders. 🐢🐠🪸🐙 ¡Semana Funtástica en la clase de la Sra. U! ¡Nuestros pequeños de preescolar disfrutaron de una divertida experiencia en el cine, una salida memorable para nuestros pequeños aprendices! 🎬. También disfrutaron de nuestro tema de arte “Bajo el Mar”, creando coloridas criaturas marinas, arrecifes de coral y maravillas del océano. 🐢🐠🪸🐙

We had a busy week this week in Mrs. Macaluso's class. We did a sorting activity with a partner to see what letters were the same and different in our names. We then ended the week going to the movie theater to see a movie. We had so much fun enjoying the movie and our snacks! Tuvimos una semana ocupada esta semana en la clase de la Sra. Macaluso. Hicimos una actividad de clasificación con un compañero para ver qué letras eran iguales y diferentes en nuestros nombres. Luego terminamos la semana yendo al cine a ver una película. ¡Nos divertimos mucho disfrutando de la película y de nuestros bocadillos!

Mrs. Macaluso's class was learning about measurement. We went to the gym and measured how far we could jump! When everyone was done we looked to see who jumped the farthest! La clase de la Sra. Macaluso estaba aprendiendo sobre la medición. ¡Fuimos al gimnasio y medimos qué tan lejos podíamos saltar! ¡Cuando todos terminaron, miramos para ver quién saltó más lejos!

Hearts everywhere 💖✨ as Mrs. U’s class celebrates Valentine’s Day ❤️with fun and creativity! ¡Corazones por todas partes 💖✨ mientras la clase de la Sra. U celebra el Día de San Valentín ❤️con diversión y creatividad!

Miss. Alarcon’s class had so much fun celebrating our Valentine’s Day party! 💌💖 We decorated our bags together, handed out sweet treats, and played some fun games. So many smiles and happy hearts!💕🎉 La clase de la Miss. Alarcón se divirtió muchísimo celebrando nuestra fiesta del Día de San Valentín. 💌💖 Decoramos nuestras bolsitas juntos, repartimos dulces y jugamos juegos muy divertidos. ¡Hubo muchísimas sonrisas y corazones felices! 💕🎉

Mrs. Lopez’s class had the sweetest time celebrating Valentine’s Day! 💘 We played fun games, made adorable crafts for our parents, shared our Valentine treats with friends, and even treated ourselves to a yummy ice cream float. 🍨 The classroom was full of smiles, laughter, and lots of love—such a fun day to celebrate friendship! 💌 La clase de la Sra. López tuvo un día muy especial celebrando el Día de San Valentín. 💘 Jugamos juegos divertidos, hicimos manualidades muy lindas para nuestros papás, compartimos dulces de San Valentín con nuestros amigos y hasta nos consentimos con un delicioso flotador de helado. 🍨 El salón estuvo lleno de sonrisas, risas y mucho amor. Fue un día lleno de amistad y diversión! 💌

Happy Valentine's Day from Mrs. Macaluso's class! We passed out our treats, thanked each other and made our very own Love Monsters. We had so much fun mixing our frosting to make it pink and adding faces. Some added hair and some added arms and legs. We then enjoyed eating what we made! ¡Feliz día de San Valentín de parte de la clase de la Sra. Macaluso! Regalamos nuestras golosinas, nos dimos las gracias unos a otros e hicimos nuestros propios Monstruos de Amor. Nos divertimos mucho mezclando nuestro glaseado para hacerlo rosa y añadiendo caras. Algunos agregaron cabello y algunos agregaron brazos y piernas. ¡Luego disfrutamos comiendo lo que hicimos!

At Tuesday night's basketball games, Nolan Samek of Bank of the Valley presented Schuyler Community Schools with a check in the amount of $5,000. These funds were raised through the Bank’s School Pride Card Program, which features the Schuyler Warrior Debit Card. Over the past four years Bank of the Valley has donated $19,700 to Schuyler Community Schools through the School Pride Card program. Thank you to Nolan and Bank of the Valley for supporting our schools.

🐒🦁 Zoo Week at Preschool! 🦓🐘 It was Zoo Wee Week at preschool, and the students in Mrs. Lopez’s class had so much fun learning all about zoo animals! The children enjoyed exploring different animals and got creative by making their very own monkey masks. What a fun and exciting week of learning and imagination! 🐒🦁 Zoo Week en el preescolar! 🦓🐘 Fue Zoo Week en el preescolar, y los estudiantes de la clase de la Sra. López se divirtieron mucho aprendiendo sobre los animales del zoológico. Los niños disfrutaron explorando diferentes animales y se pusieron creativos haciendo sus propias máscaras de mono. Fue una semana llena de aprendizaje y diversión!
