Good morning Youth Sports Families!

Just a reminder that today is the last day to get Youth Soccer forms in. There are three ways to pick them up:

1. At the Middle School main office
2. At the Elementary School main office
3. Print off a copy on the Schuyler Community Schools website

You need to turn in one sheet per player so our coaches are able to sort and create teams. After teams are formed, coaches will be contacted, then those coaches will reach out to parents on practice schedules.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning Youth Sports Families!

Youth Soccer sign ups are available at both the middle school and elementary school to pick up. If you can't pick one up, they area also available in the 'Youth Sports' section of the district website.

Please drop off forms at either the middle school or elementary front office by Friday, Mar. 27, if you would like your child to participate this year. Due to the large number of participants, we will not take forms after Friday so coaches can start building teams and contacting coaches.

We look forward to another fun season of SCS Youth Soccer!

NDE Student Language Spotlight
Three students from Ms. Wilch's Spanish classes were selected to showcase their work for the 2026 Nebraska World Language Week Student Language Spotlight!
The spotlight highlights the best student projects, presentations, recordings, and writing that show creativity and strong language skills. Each class could submit one standout piece, and these students represented Ms. Wilch's classes wonderfully. All selected students received a certificate and have their work featured on the Nebraska World Language Week website. Congratulations to Kaleb Corral, Amy Delacruz, and Madalyn Mendez for their hard work and achievements!

On Thursday, March 5th, the Warrior Academy Healthcare Heroes League explored the sense of sight and learned about the healthcare professionals who maintain healthy vision and treat eye problems.
Students experienced the challenges of different vision problems firsthand by wearing "impairment glasses." They performed routine tasks, including reading, writing, playing catch, and walking, to better understand the difficulties faced by people with various eye impairments.
Activities like these provided by the CHI Health Schuyler Workforce Development coordinator, Kim Parsons, help students learn empathy, and understand the critical role healthy vision plays in safety, mobility and basic learning activities. Through engaging activities like this, we hope students will not only appreciate the importance of healthcare professionals who maintain eye health, improve eyesight, and treat eye problems, but also spark an interest in a future career as an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
