Mrs. Lindsay Beaumont

My name is Lindsay Beaumont, and I have been teaching at Schuyler Elementary since 2014.  I have taught fourth and second grades.  I love teaching at SES, and I really enjoy sharing all the knowledge I have learned over the years with my students!

I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  I went to the University of Wisconsin for my undergrad, double majoring in History and Communication Arts.  I went on to graduate school at Loyola University Chicago, receiving my masters in Elementary Education.

When I am not teaching, our three kids keep my husband and I very busy!  My oldest is on the competition team at her dance studio, so I am always driving her around somewhere.  When I have free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, swimming and going bowling.

jolene

Mrs. Jolene Scheffler

Hi, my name is Jolene Scheffler and I am an elementary educator at SES.  I attended college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln majoring in Elementary Education, graduating in 1989.

I very much enjoy being outside and being part of the landscape, working with plants, flowers and trees, spending time at our acreage alongside the ducks, geese and assorted breeds of chickens and guineas along with a few colorful turkeys.  I have a great love and passion for the canine breed of Golden Retrievers, breeding and raising their puppies fills my heart with intense joy and fulfillment.  I also love our very cool white cat named Flake.  Art, music, cooking with and for our family and friends, reading and writing are all pastimes of mine that I treasure.  I absolutely love Christmas and keep a little bit of it in my heart all year long.  I have a passion for words...their power and influence is incredible.

I believe our future is held in the hands of our children...it is my greatest pleasure, privilege and calling to be part of getting them ready for the rest of their lives and teaching them that regardless of what they do or who they are they are always valued and can make a difference.  I believe they will make this world a better place by going to school, learning all that they can and giving what they have in whatever way possible...

I was married in 1990 to my husband Rob and we have two children.  My oldest son is Kaleb who lives in Omaha with his Dalmatian named Ryder.  My youngest son Jonah is married to his wife Macy and also lives in Omaha where they both attend graduate school at UNMC.  My husband Rob Scheffler was also an educator here in Schuyler at the middle school teaching English for a number of years.  We raised our family in David City and continue to call that our home.

Thank you for the gift of your children and the chance to be part of their day here at school!  They are our greatest natural resource and treasure...each of them very unique and a very special creation to watch as they grow and become the people they are meant to be.

Jackie

Mrs. Jackie Poulas

My name is Mrs. Poulas, and I teach 2nd grade at Schuyler Elementary School.  I am married to Justin, and we have one daughter, Ember.  In school, my favorite subject to teach is reading.  Every book opens up a new world for your imagination.   I have trained dogs for 20 years.  Throughout that time I have also shown them and taught classes on how to train and show your dog. Riding horses was a huge part of my childhood, and I love being able to ride again when I get the chance. I always look for the positive things and always try to have a smile on my face.
