On Friday, March 19th, the Schuyler Lady Warriors 8th grade club basketball team had their end of the season family night that included a moms vs. daughters basketball game and presentation of individual team member recognition. What is perhaps the most noteworthy about the evening is that the majority of the team came 2 hours early to walk the Schuyler Middle School grounds, including the parking lots and playground, to pick up litter. The girls take pride in working hard to be the best basketball players that they can be, but they also take pride in their school and community. Team members pictured helping picking up litter in the last picture are Sami Krupka, Abby Reyna, Sinai Sanchez, Addy Vavricek, Alyza Arroyo, Ally Vavricek, Gissell Fuentes, and Natalie Fuentes. Not pictured are team members Elvia Batz, Gabby Corona, Mia Andrade, and Rosie Soto. The team is coached by Jake Arkfeld and Brian Vavricek.
