Up next -- Metamorphic Rock. 7th graders had the chance to use candy to help them explore how metamorphic rock is formed within our Earth. Add a little heat and pressure and you end up with metamorphic rock.

7th grade students got a chance to explore how sedimentary rocks are formed through the use of food. We stacked up bread, frosting, crackers, and goldfish to create our layers of rock. Add in some pressure and gravity -- bam you have sedimentary rock. Some students were even brave enough to try the end product.

JR. HIGH TRACK PRACTICE BEGINS MONDAY!!
Jr. High track practice starts this coming Monday, March 23rd! We had a great number of students sign up, and we’re excited to get started.
Practice will begin after school in the gym and will run until 5:15 PM. Please make sure rides are arranged ahead of time.

Three students from Ms. Wilch's Spanish classes were selected to showcase their work for the 2026 Nebraska World Language Week Student Language Spotlight!
The spotlight highlights the best student projects, presentations, recordings, and writing that show creativity and strong language skills. Each class could submit one standout piece, and these students represented Ms. Wilch's classes wonderfully. All selected students received a certificate and have their work featured on the Nebraska World Language Week website. Congratulations to Kaleb Corral, Amy Delacruz, and Madalyn Mendez for their hard work and achievements!

Congratulations to the Warrior Speech Team! Yesterday the Warriors participated in district speech at Wayne and brought home some hardware. District Runner-Up and 6 individual state qualifiers. We are so proud of you!!

They have officially gone from blueprints to fully functional machines by integrating optical, color, bumper, limit, and infrared switches and sensors, allowing their speedbots, Res-Q-Bots, 4-gear mini trucks, basebots, clawbots, and catapultbots to navigate, detect, and respond autonomously using their own modified code.
