Attention all SCS Subs:

Attention Parents and Students: SCHS Open House will be held on Monday, August 12th from 3-8:00 PM. A parent meeting will be held in the auditorium at 6:00 PM. We encourage all families to come to the high school to fill out paperwork, pay fees, pick up schedules, and meet the staff. There will also be an Open House at the District Office building at 6:30 PM to kick off our new CNA program in partnership with CHI Health and Central Community College. We would love to see you there!

The SCS Field House will be closed on Monday 8/12-Wednesday 8/14 as staff & students prepare for the new school year. It will resume regular school year hours at 6pm on Thursday 8/15.

Schuyler Public Library Book Walk

Back to School Haircut Day was a huge success.

Today at our elementary school, we had a situation where a student was thought to be missing. The principals and their team immediately put the school in Secure Mode (no one allowed in or out of the building) and a count of all students was taken in that grade level. Additionally, all spaces in the building and outside were checked as well. I am happy to report that in the end no students were missing and everyone was where they should be. I want to applaud the elementary administrators and their amazing staff for taking immediate action to ensure that all our students were safe and accounted for. During the first few days of school, while staff are getting to know their students and our young Warriors are getting used to their routines, confusion can occur. We have an amazing group of caring and hard working staff and I thank them for erring on the side of caution. I also want to thank our Schuyler Police for their immediate response and assistance as we work through this situation. Bret Schroder, Superintendent

Schuyler Community Parents, due to the lack of bus route drivers, the Middle School afternoon route will be delayed. This will effect tomorrow, Tuesday August 27th and Friday August 30th 2024. Afternoon route only ! Thank you!

The SCS Field House will be closed Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2 due to Labor Day.

Dear Schuyler Community, Yesterday evening a social media post was spotted by some of you regarding the threat of a school shooting and a reference to a middle school. At first glance it appeared to be related to Schuyler but thankfully that is not the case. This was a threat made in Atlantic, Iowa and the person responsible is with authorities. I want to thank our Schuyler Police and those of you that texted or called with questions or concerns. Maintaining a safe and positive community takes everyone working together. Ayer por la tarde, algunos de ustedes vieron una publicación en las redes sociales sobre la amenaza de un tiroteo en una escuela y una referencia a una escuela secundaria. A primera vista, parecía estar relacionada con Schuyler, pero afortunadamente ese no es el caso. Esta fue una amenaza hecha en Atlantic, Iowa, y la persona responsable está con las autoridades. Quiero agradecer a nuestra policía de Schuyler y a aquellos de ustedes que enviaron mensajes de texto o llamaron con preguntas o inquietudes.
